About

I am a Surface Pattern & Fabric Designer who lives in Northern California. My love of nature & my deep concern for our environment, is reflected, sometimes quietly, and sometimes very obviously in many of my designs.

A little bit about me:

I am an artist & a maker: whether it’s drawing, painting, pottery, calligraphy, knitting, or designing & sewing clothes, backpacks, & bags, it’s always been a love of mine. Since I was very young I always signed my artwork with my middle name, which is “Cleo”.

In late 2015 I found the Make It In Design courses & I fell in love with surface pattern design. It’s as simple as that. Never looked back.

Originally from upstate NY, I attended Cornell University, lived in Ithaca NY, and in Boston before heading to the west coast, where I live with my partner of many years. We have a small home in Northern California with a vegetable garden & over 40 fruit trees! I love that I live just minutes away from the beaches of the Pacific Ocean & just a short drive from some amazing redwood forests! When I’m not designing, you can find me in my orchard or out hiking on the local trails.
